The Amazing Egg Drop

DESCRIPTION
In this classic activity, teams must build a protection device for an egg that will be either dropped from a height or thrown against a wall baseball-style (depends on your location). This activity can be done in virtually any location.

VARIATIONS
1. Auctioning materials. Live or silent auction.
2. Participants given spending money and they purchase their own materials from retail stores.
3. Teams given play money and must purchase their materials from a bank.
4. For increased collaboration, allow teams to exchange materials.
5. Prizes for most effective and/or most creative solution. (Scrambled eggs for the losing team???)
6. Each participant given one type of material. Participants must gather themselves into teams such that they have each of 10 types of materials.
