TeamTube...Why?!The purpose of this page is to answer your two most burning questions... Why
would our group want to be on YouTube???
Why would our group want to be on YouTube??? "User-Generated Content" is a trend that has been rapidly changing the internet. You have no doubt heard of and maybe visited sites like Flickr, Wikipedia, Squidoo and of course YouTube, which all allow their visitors to create and upload content. Some call the phenomon Web 2.0 and such sites have experienced meteoric rises in popularity. Online video is hot because anyone can make a short video and easily share their message with the masses. The catchier the message, the more widespread the viewership. Everyone has a message they want to communicate and your team can do it by participating in TeamTube. Perhaps your team would make a video communicating your company is a great place to work. Maybe it would be a "how-to" video. Maybe it would just be for fun. Whatever the case, your group will love the excitement of watching and sharing their videos online.
Why would our company ever let us do this??? Marketing through online video is very powerful because of the potential for a video to be viral. A catchy video could be viewed by millions of people! The cost to produce and distribute the video is very low compared with other ways of producing and disseminating video messages. Your company's marketing department probably already knows this. The marketing department probably also knows that they now control only a small percentage of what is said about your company online. TeamTube gives your company the opportunity to push out a greater number of positive messages about your company and its products and services. We can help you "sell-in" the concept of TeamTube to your marketing and/or legal departments should there be a concern. We have collected some additional resources that show the marketing power of online video. Enjoy! Ready!
