The process we use to create learning from our activities is as follows:
Experience > Debrief > Application
EXPERIENCE
The participants are led in an experiential activity that is enjoyable
and stimulating.
DEBRIEF
A discussion follows the experience. This discussion helps participants
identify what they can learn from the events that just transpired.
APPLICATION
Participants identify specific work-related situations where they can
use what they learned.
The value of experiential learning is well described by the Chinese proverb:
"What I hear, I forget. What I see, I remember. What I do, I understand"
